A mammography protocol with an iodine based contrast agent, added as an upgrade to the Planmed Clarity+ line. Acquisition is dual energy, which is what allows contrast uptake to be separated from the rest of the image. The study is done with a single compression per view, so it does not make the session longer than an ordinary mammogram.
What it brings
- Combines conventional mammography with an iodine based contrast agent
- Dual energy acquisition, which differentiates contrast uptake
- A single compression per view
- Upgrade available on the Planmed Clarity+ line
- All three configurations, Clarity+ S, 2D and 3D, accept the upgrade
- Lower equipment cost than other modalities, according to the manufacturer
Where it is used
- Diagnostic mammography
- Radiology
- Imaging centre
